What this expert provides

The Temporary Mooring expert specifies the site-specific mooring of mobile units for a campaign: semi-submersible and drillship MODUs, flotels, construction and crane vessels, pipelay and anchor-spread barges, temporary storage and pre-laid moorings.

Expert Profile

Sets the pattern, line lengths and pay-out, pretension, anchor type, pre-laid versus rig-deployed anchors and thruster assistance, then runs a quasi-static multi-line analysis. Offset against the operational watch circles usually governs, so it is reported first. Follows API RP 2SK, DNV-OS-E301 and ISO 19901-7 and coastal-state rules where they apply.
