Subsea Structures
PLET, manifolds, templates, riser bases and protection structures: frame, mudmat, lift and protection.
What this expert provides
The Subsea Structures expert designs the steel structures on the seabed: pipeline end terminations, in-line tees, manifolds, drilling templates, riser bases, SSIV and wellhead protection structures and umbilical termination assemblies. It sizes the frame and its foundation, checks the lift and the splash zone, the dropped-object and trawl protection and the anodes, and offers typical structures to start from.
Expert Profile
Builds the frame from a typical structure or your own and analyses it with a 3-D frame solver for the in-place, overtrawl, lift and splash-zone cases, checks every member (API RP 2A WSD, AISC ASD) and increases the failing sizes. The mudmat bearing and sliding and the piles use the geotechnical engine, the lift and splash zone the offshore lift engine (DNV-ST-N001, DNV-RP-N103), the dropped objects the risk engine, and the anodes DNV-RP-B401. The lift input block goes to the installation expert.
