Expert Profile

Specifies the buoy or yoke concept, anchor legs, hawser, hoses and disconnect arrangement. Its central result is the allowable total horizontal buoy load, the smallest of the leg-tension and drag-anchor uplift limits, which gives the time-domain analysis a clear target. Follows API RP 2SK, DNV-OS-E301 and ISO 19901-7, with class SPM rules for the buoy.
