Mesh viewer
Look at WAMIT .gdf panel meshes (OrcaWave, WAMIT) in 3D and check them: normals, holes, volume and waterplane area. Hull and panel models from other programs open too: NAPA (IGES or STL export), SESAM .FEM, Abaqus .inp, Nastran .bdf, AQWA .dat and Gmsh .msh. Cut a model at a waterline (with trim and heel if you like) to get its wetted surface as a .gdf. Rigging mode: open a rigging file (.rig.json) from the Offshore Lift expert to see the object, lift points, slings coloured by utilisation, spreader, hook and CoG in 3D. Mooring mode: open a mooring file (.moor.json) from a mooring expert to see the vessel, the lines coloured by utilisation (intact, damaged or pretension), anchors and fenders. Session view: open the panel mesh (.gdf), mooring and lift files of one session together (or add them with Add files) to see the hull, the mooring lines and the crane with its rigging in one scene. Stability mode: open a stability file (.stab.json) from the stability expert to see the vessel heeled on its GZ curve, with G, B, M, the waterline and the righting lever, and the criteria. ML mode: open an ML results file (.ml.json) from the computation expert to see the trained model's training curve, predicted against actual, errors and feature importance, try other inputs in a what-if, and (with the vessel's .gdf mesh) its predictions coloured on the hull. Fluid domain: define 2D sections in a flow (several bodies, any shape) for the ML expert's flow2d template; its results (flow field, drag CD, damping, added mass) open in ML mode. Expert files: the dynamic cable (.cable.json), pipeline (.pipeline.json), turbine (.turbine.json) and geotechnical (.geo.json) files open with their configuration in 3D (on the meshed vessel's .gdf when the expert used it: open them together), and with the risk (.risk.json), cost (.cost.json) and resistance (.resistance.json) files show the expert's drawing and key numbers. Files are read in your browser and are not uploaded.

Drag to rotate, or choose Move to drag the model across the view (Shift-drag, right-drag or middle-drag move it in either tool). Scroll, pinch or the zoom buttons zoom about the pointer; two fingers move and zoom on a touch screen. Keys: arrows move, Shift + arrows rotate, + and − zoom, 0 fits. Measure: click two points of the model (each click snaps to the nearest mesh vertex, mooring point or rigging point: hook, lift point, sling end, hardware, spreader end, CoG, crane) for the distance and its x, y, z and horizontal parts; a third click starts again, Esc clears; Shift-drag moves the view. Blue: outside of the panels. Grey: inside, seen through the waterplane or an opening. Red: reversed panels. Light blue: lid (interior free surface). Green: a model from another program, in its own axes. Orange: waterline. In a .gdf, z = 0 is the waterline. Rigging: slings green (UC below 0.8), amber (0.8 to 1.0), red (above 1.0), hardware as diamonds labelled with the bill-of-materials reference, grey (not checked), dashed grey (slack). Subsea frame: members and joints green (utilisation up to 0.5), yellow (to 0.8), orange (to 1.0), red (above 1.0), in the worst case, a chosen case or by fatigue (damage x DFF); point at a member, joint or arrow for its values.

Meshes made by the ai-pna_wave expert come with a preview picture (_preview.svg) next to each .gdf file; open the .gdf here to turn it round and check it. See Help 5.8 ai-pna_wave. The Offshore Lift expert saves a rigging drawing (_rigging_preview.svg) and a rigging file (.rig.json): open the .rig.json here (Rigging mode) to see the slings coloured by utilisation in 3D.
